Are you ready for the Motorola Droid X?
The Android operating system is creating great wonders all over. It has continued to develop itself with diverse features.
For the new Motorola Droid X Smartphone the forthcoming times look really bright. It is scheduled to release on Verizon Wireless’ 3G network on 15th July 2010. This big and hyped Android has already grabbed all the attention prior to its date of release. Some of the interesting features of this Android handset are its beautiful 4.3 inch display, impressive multimedia features and a long battery life.
The reason for this phone coming to the limelight is mainly because of the emergence Google’s Android operating system as a major player in the smartphone market. According to a report released by marketing firm Cornscore Android’s mobile market share spread by 44 percent from February to May. Android’s share of the U.S market leaped from 9 percent in February to 13 percent in May. A lot of consumers are interested in the Android operating system.
Droid X is an Android 2.1 telephone (upgradable to Android 2.2 when available), fitted with a 4.3-inch touchscreen , 1GHz central processor , 8-megapixel camera, high-definition video recorder, HDMI jack, Wi-Fi, 8GB of inbuilt memory plus a high-capacity microSD card slot for a likely 40 GB of memory and a inbuilt mobile hot spot.
Unfortunately, it has been getting lots of stick about it not having a front facing camera, being top heavy and having small physical control buttons. In my opinion, it does seem to be rather bulky and might turn out to be quite a tight fit if located in the pockets. Other than the size issue though, it is a great phone ! Running on Google Android OS v2 .1, sporting a 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, HD video recorder and long battery life (which has been the prohibition of smartphones in general), the Motorola Droid X will for sure be among the best telephone in the market for some time to come.
