You can do so using Lock Mode.
Press OK, Left navigation key followed by 5, 5.
Enter the four digit lock code.
Press the 1 digit key.
Select the lock mode range.
After selecting an option touch [OK].
For Device option the Lock option means the phone is always locked.
You can receive calls and make incoming calls.
The Unlock option means the phone is never locked.
The On Power Up option means the phone is locked when turned on.
In Location option you can set a lock mode setting.

Press [OK].
Then press the Left Navigation key.
Press the “5” digit key twice.
Now enter the four digit lock code.
The last 4 digits of your mobile phone number are the lock code if it is set.
If it is not set the lock code is the last 4 digits of ESN DEC.

Press and hold the digit assigned to the number.
The phone recalls the number, briefly displays it and then dials it.
For assigned numbers from 10 to 99, first press the first Speed Dial digit, then press and hold the key of the second digit.
Alternatively enter the speed dial digits then touch the Send key.

Touch the Right Soft Key [Contacts] to display contacts alphabetically.
Use the Navigation keys to scroll through the list.
If you want to search by letter, press the letter key corresponding to your search letter after touching the Right Soft Key.

Enter a phone number.
Touch Left Soft Key to Save.
Use Navigational keys to select Update Existing, then touch [OK].
Select an existing entry by using the up and down Navigation keys.
Then touch [OK].
Select Mobile 1/Home/Work/Mobile 2/Fax, then touch [OK]. Save by pressing [OK].

The Volume is adjusted on the LG Chocolate using the Side Keys to the left of the screen.
The Master Volume and Earpiece Volume can be adjusted in standby mode during a call by using the Side Keys.
Upper side key increases the volume and lower side key decreases the volume

One beep during a call indicates that there is another incoming call. Switch between the two calls by touching the Send key.

Press and hold the camera key (when the slide is up) to record FLIX. The camera key at the right side of the phone also turns on speakerphone mode during a call.
